The Art of Living

There is an art to living. Though many of us may never publish a screenplay, choreograph a ballet or compose a symphony, we all have the potential to make our lives a work of art.
Living well doesn't just happen. It is an art that has to be learned, and like any art it has principles one needs to master. The Art of Living requires a vision of what really matters to each of us plus the integrity, courage and discipline to pursue it, and the flexibility and resilience to continually grow and evolve. This leads to living with a harmonious union of mind, body and spirit so that we can approach life with greater passion, reverence and awe. This is what makes life truly worth living.
What does it mean to make your life a work of art? What if you saw yourself as the artwork: a canvas on which you could fashion something beautiful and inspirational; a piece of marble ready to be carved into a unique form?

Making your life a masterpiece involves the same steps an artist employs:

You pursue your passion with discipline and focus.
This will enable you to discover your own unique vision, your conception of the kind of life you want to live.
Then you create harmony between your passion, vision, talents and skills and access your own unique rhythm.
Next you cultivate genuine self-care so that you can practice what you have composed, further refining it.
Then you revise your life; fine-tuning what's not working; editing what's extraneous.
Finally, you improvise with adversity and soar so that you can sing the unique song that is hidden within you.
This workshop is a combination of lecture, dialogue and experiential practices drawn from the psychotherapeutic, meditative and yogic traditions.
